Paintball Gear Maintenance : Cleaning Paintball Goggles
One of the best ways to clean paintball goggles is with a damp paper towel, which will help to wipe off the thermal layer of the lens. Find out how to avoid leaving water spots on a pair of paintball goggles with help from an experienced paintball player in this free video on cleaning paintball goggles.

Paintball Barrel Length Selection, Boring & Bore Size
This video is to help players make better choices in selecting paintball barrels and bore sizes.
Anything less than 14″ is too short
Anything over 16″ is too long
14″ or 16″ work the best
For bore size, all paintballs typically start out around .689. But as heat, moisture and humidity starts to affect the ball throughout the day, the paintballs will rapidly expand.
You want the paintball to ROLL OUT of the barrel at the start of the day. I personally prefer 14″ Barrels, and here are my personal recommendations-
14″ Barrels-
.691 Bob Long Marq 1 Piece
.692 Dye Ultralite 2 Piece
.693 CP 14″ 1 Piece Classic Barrel **
.694 Bob Long Marq 2 Piece
If you insist on using a 16″ barrel, here are my recommendations-
.691 16″ CP 2 Piece Pro Barrel
.692 16″ Dye Ultralite
.693 16″ CP 2 Piece Pro Barrel
.694 16″ Bob Long Marq 2 Piece Barrel
14″ in my opinion is the BEST length for a paintball barrel. The sooner you can get the ball out of the barrel, the better chance you have of it not breaking in the barrel. 14″ is the universal length I recommend, and the .693 14″ CP Barrel is the most universal barrel I recommend.
Enjoy!

What material is a paintball mask made of?
I am a hobbyist and make helmets (405th.com). I was wondering if anyone knew what material paintball masks are made of and if it is easily available.
Injection molded polyethelene for the hard plastic bits. For the flex masks they use a hard rubber compound or a softer polymer.
There are a number of materials that a heat formable that you could purchase but bear in mind that they would not be safety tested or rated (even though they may meet the criteria). At the very least, build your face shield around a set of existing and approved paintball goggles.

Which is the better starter paintball gun / marker?
Should I buy the Spyder Pilot ACS package or the Tippman 98 Custom package? They are both around the same price. If neither, whats a better starter gun?
For Woodsball and Speedball
Nothing over $200. Around 150
Now for spyder’s the Spyder Pilot ACS Package is a great gun, i myself started out with a spyder fenix. They aren’t the easiest to find custom parts to to enhance the performance, but they are very durable AND they are GREAT out of the box, also i have had a few problems with my spyder fenix ACS and the people at kingman tech. are the best to help treat a problem. Now the Tippmann 98 is a good gun for start but they take a lot of customizing and a lot of money to make better. The Tippmann is very reliable and durable. Yet, Spyder’s are great right out of the box with little to none extras needed. Tippmann 98 isn’t as good without all the extras. I would go with the Spyder Pilot ACS.

Is there a good shop to get custom paintball gear in the Norfolk, VA area?
I’m looking for a place that can design a vest. I’m not just looking for graphics; I am also looking for a place that can actually design and build the vest. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
