are paintball masks safe for airsoft fights?

January 30th, 2010 | Category: paintball masks

My buddies and i are into airsoft, this weekend were going airsofting in the woods, all i have on me right now are two paintball face masks, im wondering if its safe to use for airsoft?

They are by far more effective than the simple glasses or goggles that generally come with an airsoft gun. Just make sure that you choose one that wont let pellets come through the vent holes.

Painball equipment and technology has a much larger market than airsoft so the masks and safety equipment is more developed and comfortable. If you go to www.pbreview.com you can look up reviews on paintball masks and try to find the best quality for the money.

What paintball package would be best for coming back to the sport?

January 30th, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

I was on a local rec team for 3 or 4 years. I started off with a Tipman and then had various AirGun Designs Markers (AutoMag, MiniMag, MicroMag and AutoMag RT) using CO2 then upgrading to compressed air. I don’t see that AirGun Designs markers are advertised much anymore in the paintball publications like Action Pursuit Games. When I was on the team I also had the ability to get things at cost through my friends store. Now its all out of my own pocket. I have placed a Worr Game Products Autococker Trilogy Sport Player package on hold at Dick’s Sporting Goods as I have always known them to be good markers, yes a bit finiky more so then any marker I have ever used especially my AirGun Designs markers. What would a good marker and basic items package be for me?

Well it depends on what are looking for out of a gun. If you’re playing speed ball I would recommend an Ion. They are fairly cheep and worth the money. Now if you can afford an Ego or a high dollar gun thats up to you but really its up to you. The Trilogy is a good gun they are much better than the old cockers as far as messing with them goes. Good luck.

What are the best places on the web to buy paintball gear?

January 30th, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

I recently bought my boyfriend a paintball kit for xmas, and now he is looking t get stuff to go with it. All sorts of gear. Any place that has fair market prices would be great. Any additional comments from other paintballers also welcome!

He should join an online community (www.pbnation.com is my personal favorite). This will give him a place to learn about all his new goodies, and they have a VERY BIG Buy/Sell/Trade section, where he can get lots of stuff for very good prices. Both ActionVillage and SakWorld Paintball have very good prices on their sites, and I have bought from them before.

What fraction of people start playing paintball and end up shooting someone?

January 30th, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

I am an 11 year old boy and I want to buy a paintball gun.The only problem is that my mom says that you get practice and eventually get a real gun and shoot a person.I want to know if she is overprotective, or if she is right. Also, if anyone knows, how many people start playing paintball and end up shooting someone?

Any answer is helpful!Thank you.

I think you mom is right and you should listen to her. If she doesn’t want you to have a paintball gun so be it. She is the MOM!
I’ve never had paintball gun in my life.
I shoot .22 Ural, AK 47 full auto 7.62×39, SKS 7.62×39 semi auto, Smith & Wesson .38, .357, Glock .45, 40, 9mm, Beretta 9mm, and some other real guns. Bows and arrows, throw real knifes and axes to the targets.
I never shot a person. See the link? If I would ever not to listen to my mom and shot paintball gun I might of shoot a person!!!
Here is your lesson. It doesn’t matter what gun you shoot, it is matter how strong is your brain to function without malfunction. Train your brain, and your arms, not just your arms.

what is the best paintball hopper?

January 30th, 2010 | Category: paintball hopper

i just bought a autococker super bolt and i was wondering what type of hopper i should get? i am thinking a halo or an egg 3? im to poor for a pinokio.

Well if you can afford a Halo go for it, becuase it feeds faster, is lighter, and is more quite. That said, the evo3 is still a good hopper and can keep up with most mid grade markers, so don’t shy away from it if you want to save some money. I have used both and I perfer the halo a little, but I really enjoyed the evo3 so don’t toss that choice away. Plus halos retail for like 120-150, whereas you can get an evo for around 70?

What is a good sniper rifle for paintball?

January 30th, 2010 | Category: paintball sniper

I’m thinking of getting a paintball sniper rifle as a secondary gun. Is there a good sniper rifle with i bipod that has GOOD performance. nothing over $350 plzzz. and please no tippmanns (unless REALLY good)

It is hard to get the whole package for under the price that you have requested. You can see some packages here. http://thepaintballsniper.com/index.php?cPath=5&&page=2
I think the cheapest I saw was about $420. I know you don’t want a Tippman but I use my 98 as a sniper gun and have the A5 that I use in CQB. I am more accurate with the 98 as the paintball sniper gun. Not sure what type of marker you have currently but you could just transform that one into a paintball sniper gun with a sniper kit. See here. http://thepaintballsniper.com/index.php?cPath=3
