Where can I customise and buy a paintball mask?
I’m really into paintball, and would absolutely love a mask that I myself designed. Anyone out there know where I can get a mask custom made and not too expensive?
http://www.savephace.com – link to Save Phace. Then click on Tactical Masks for paintball masks. The shape of the mask remains the same but they’ve got an option that allows you to submit your own graphic for a mask.
JT Spectra series (Flex 7/8, Proflex, Revolution) is the next most customizable mask but only to the extent of having multiple parts available in multiple colors, as well as a company that makes custom straps (kmstraps.com). They’re like the Legos of the paintball mask world.
That’s the most personal customization you can get without going through the trouble of making one yourself, which i wouldn’t recommend because it’ll take too long to look up legal specs, contact several manufacturers for the parts, then an R&D team to throw it all together. In other words, you’d end up making your own mask company.

25 commentsI was wondering if its advisable to wear a ski mask under a paintball mask?
The ski mask should protect my neck and the top of my head but:
-Will it be too hot wearing it under the paintball mask?
-Will the ski mask absorb the sweat?
-Should i just wear a baseball cap back words?
- It can get too hot, yes. Depends on your own tolerance for heat. However, the paintball mask retains your face heat pretty well, despite being ventilated.
- It will absorb sweat but depending on the material, it may not evaporate/dry readily, so it could become uncomfortable. And it could cause fogging problems with the goggle lens.
- Backwards cap is a little better. There’s even a padded cap made by 100th Monkey for paintball. But most players opt for a beanie or headwrap instead for head protection.
Another downside to a ski mask is it muffles your voice. Communication is VERY important in paintball and it’ll be hard to do that if people can’t hear you well.
If you want to protect your neck, opt for a bandanna around your neck or one of the actual neck protectors made for paintball. However, no neck covering does well to protect. I’d only suggest neckwear if you’re cold.

5 commentsHow many Fps can a paintball mask take and how fast can a paintball gun be in Fps?
I want to know a what levels of Fps does a paintball mask no longer protect you and how many Fps can a paintball marker shoot without the ball of paint exploding in the barrel????
All manufacturers most warrant that their goggles meet or exceed ASTM standard F1776. However findinga free reference to that standard is pretty difficult!!! Although most sites and tourneys limit at 300 fps, most paintball guns can shoot higher up to around 350fps, a few higher than that, so the protective standard is probably higher still. I have heard that it is 400 fps at 1m range, but cannot qualify that statement with a reference.
As to what velocity it very much depends on the paint, the gun and how well it is maintained.
3 commentsWhat is the best paintball face mask for a 6′ 6" player?
Im new to paintball and Im starting out with a JT Raptor mask… I like it a lot however, i have noticed that on my shorter friends the masks cover more. I noticed this after taking a ball to the adams apple lol NOT FUN… so im lookin for a larger mask with HOPEFULLY a larger area of protection, maybe with a chin strap. and very easy to breath in
You wont find a mask that covers your adams apple you just have to deal with it. Chinstraps wont cover your adams apple either but if you want one the dye I3 pros have chinstraps
How to keep paintball mask from fogging up?
I only went a couple times paintballing, and i rent all their stuff, and it seems like their masks fog up, and i can’t see any suggestions ?
maybe rubbing your saliva on the mask will prevent it from fogging; it works for swimming goggles…

4 commentsIs it possible to paint a paintball mask?
I have the empire e-vents paintball mask in yellow and was wondering can you spraypaint or paint it at all? It has the soft rubber sides that allows paintballs to bounce off and not break on impact, would the paint bind to the flex rubber with out chipping?
i have no clue but it sounds like it would chip when the rubber moves but you could just not paint the rubber
