25 commentsUpgrading to a paintball sniper?
I have a Spyder MR1 paintball gun and I have looking to make into a sniper paintball gun but I don’t know what type of barrel I should get, what type of scope and all that stuff so I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out what I should buy.
You need a longer barrel, a scope, a scope mounting kit, and a buttstock. You can get the whole kit here for under $170. http://thepaintballsniper.com/product_info.php?cPath=3&products_id=17. The only thing that I would add to that is a red dot scope if you think you will get caught up in some close quarters combat. It can be very handy cause the long range scopes are not very useful at close range.
Do they have sniper paintball guns when you go play?
I want to choose a sniper but im not sure if they have it.
I’m sorry to break this to you, but outside of a few exceptions there’s no such thing as a sniper in paintball. All fields limit shot velocity at a certain limit (somewhere between 220 feet per second for indoor fields and 300 feet per second for woodsball fields) and because of this almost all paintballs markers shoot around the same distance.
Systems like the Flatline barrel and the Apex barrel put backspin on paintballs so they can go further and hit targets at a longer distance but some people say they are not any more accurate than a normal barrel and cause the ball to go so slow it won’t even break if it hits someone (meaning they are still in the game)
Finally when a paintball is fired it rarely flies in a straight line, sometimes it hooks left, sometimes right, sometimes shoots up, sometimes takes a nosedive into the dirt. I have even seen them fly in a curling motion a few times. This is another reason why paintball snipers don’t exist. If you spend enough on a marker and practice you can get pretty good shot to shot consistency and accuracy but don’t expect it to shoot like a gun in real life or even a video game.
Some companies sell parts or even whole guns and call them snipers but this is part of the MilSim movement and the gun just LOOKS like a sniper, it cannot shoot any further and is no more accurate than a regular gun.

While my cousin goes for the “flag”(Empty Pod), I lay in waiting…
You may not be able to see it, but the paintball bounces off his mask to the right.

20 commentsWhat is a good paintball gun to buy for Sniper type players?
I know we have all seen the video, no such thing as snipers in paintball, but im curious what are some good guns to buy, that sort of match that profile, with longer distance, more accurate, i think they have longer barrels? and scopes..etc…idk
thank you
autococker-180+ and start with that
if you want to start with a pump gun
sniper 2 I’m not sure about the pricing but sniper 2 is the autococker with a pump kit installed, also get a 14-16 inch die ultra light barrel.
hope you find one that you like,
and as for the scopes, i wouldn’t use one.
and if you want to really want to be acturate, but 15 balls and then reload, get a phantom
what would be considered a paintball sniper marker?
i see people talking about snipers being those with pump guns but what does that mean? what kind of guns exactly and where could i check them out? also for anyone who knows..ive just got a pro-vantage thermal mask and was wondering if its good. i recieved it as a gift from a friend. just wanted to know if its a good mask. thanks.
Mask wise i’d move up to a jt flex period. As for the sniper gig any paintball gun barrel over 14 inches becomes a friction problem and reduces accuracy and distance. Sure it looks neat and "sniper" like it doesn’t do anything but hinder you. Depending on the gun a good 12/14" barrel would do just fine. Smart parts, dye,j&j,evil, ect. are just to name a few. Paintball revolves around the 3 "b’s", bolt, ball and barrel. An aftermarket bolt will increase effecientcy and accuracy. The type of paintballs you use also determines its accuracy, cheap/old paintball have irregular shells, ect and will not fly straight. Paint does have a shelf life and the barrel is responsible for how it leaves the marker and also its efficiency. Any paintball marker can be a sniper gun, its the player behind it that makes it that way. As for the looks side of it i’d look more toward tippmann and opsgear. Take care.
Difference Between a Paintball Gun and Paintball Sniper.?
Im looking for a paintball gun that shoots really far. Im wondering if the sniper is my best bet. But I can’t tell the difference between them.
In paintball there really is no such thing as a sniper. For the most part every gun shoots just as far. Sorry if that dashes your hopes of wanting to hit guys way out. Pumps are pumps, and Sniper is the name of a series of autococker pumps. Though named sniper, they really are just another style of playing paintball.
