What do "Pods" do for a paintball marker?

I am thinking of purchasing a paintball marker on Ebay and the package I want has "6 – 140 Round Heavy Duty Pods" what do these do and are they worth getting. The link is:

Pods are the things that you carry around on a belt that carry extra paintballs. the actual hopper on the marker only holds from 100 to 200 and you can go through those quick depending on if you play speedball type paintball or the slower for ammo conservative friendly woods ball. They can be purchased pretty cheap from anywhere so make sure your getting a good deal on ebay. Oh and trust me even heavy duty breaks when you fall on them enough

    Pods hold extra paintballs for you. Its like having a gun with 2 clips.

    pods just hold all your other paint balls until your hopper runs out. when you run out you just take a pod and pour those paint balls in the hopper. they are very useful and yes i would get them.

    pods are the container that holds your extra rounds of paint balls. you will need them at least 2. they are your extra ammo you carry around. they are worth buying but depends on the price. remember your average view loader holds 200 rounds do these pods are pretty good. 140 rounds approx. i would get them.

    i been paint balling for a long time. i own a first gen spyder. stoped for awhile cause its gets pretty expensive after awhile./

    well their really important in a game were u use a lot of paint. wut u do is u reach behind ur bak grab the pod from the pack and flip ur hopper lid open and then pour the paint in ur hopper. the place below is a really cool place just make an account and ask all ur questions. u will gt a lot of good answers.
